This book is the result
of a long-lasting teaching and industrial
activity in the field, reflecting the constant
preoccupation of the authors for progress
in wood science and primary wood processing.
The book presents the "classical"
timber manufacturing technologies, indicating
also possible new directions of development
for certain technological stages, as well
the technological design of a new timber
industry, giving all stages for elaborating
the technical documentation for investment.
The inspired combination between theory
and concrete applications, between demonstration
and phenomenon, between synthesis and analysis
shows the real professionalism of the authors
and makes the book a pleasant and most useful
lecture for all those interested in a technical
career in the wood sector.
