The book provides knowledge
in the field of the finite elements modelling
by using the Catia v5 software. The work
is structured in three parts. The first
part comprises an introduction into the
book topics, it specifies the aim of this
book, as course support for the students
and it also presents a short history about
the finite elements method (FEM). The second
part presents the modelling algorithm used
in the FEM module of the Catia software
and the specific menus and commands. The
third part contains 14 applications with
analyses of simple or complex geometric
structures in the field of: static analysis,
eigen values problems, thermal fields. The
book is useful for the students and specialists
in all engineering fields.
