Abstract: The paper presents the results of an experimental research concerning the technology and characteristics of some panels with composite structure, made from wooden elements with transversal texture, for furniture industry and other applications, taking into account the exquisite aesthetical valences of some wooden species, such as oak, robinia, rosewood, maple and some exotic species. This technology offers the possibility of introducing novel wood species in the furniture producing field, as well as a superior valorisation by recycling of some wooden residues with superior characteristics.
