Motto: "Each ending carries in it the germ of a new START."

Here we are at the end of the third year of our existance, the tenth number of PRO LIGNO Journal !
This third year of constant and on-time appearance also represents the year of national recognition and the beginning of international recognition of our journal.

National recognition is given, on one hand, by the accreditation received from the National Council of Scientific Research in Higher Education - CNCSIS - as a B+ type journal and, on the other hand, by the financial support received from the National Authority for Scientific Research - ANCS and from the Council of Brasov County.

International recognition, as scientific journal in the field of WOOD ENGINEERING, is asserted by the license agreement signed with EBSCO Publishing Ltd. USA, in June 2007, which enhances the inclusion of our journal in international databases.

The annual balance would not be complete without mentioning the most important events promoted by the PRO LIGNO Journal during this year:
- Participation to international fairs in the field: SILVAMAR - Baia Mare and EXPOWOOD - Brasov, in March 2007.
- Dedication of a special PRO LIGNO edition (Vol. 3 No. 3 - September 2007) to the two scientific events organized by the Faculty of Wood Industry in collaboration with PRO LIGNO Foundation in June 2007: the COST E37 Workshop and the International Conference ICWSE-2007.

The Editorial Board thanks all who financially sustained the publication of this journal during the year which we successfully end now. We also thank all subscribers and readers, as well as those who have contributed to maintain the scientific level of our journal - the scientific referees.
