Abstract:
The work proposes to analyse a new composite product with lignocellulosic basic structure made of wooden chips or fibres and using plaster as bonding agent. This analysis concerns the thermic behaviour of this product, achieved in the shape of panels, which can be used-up in similar conditions as the rigips, for the panelling of any construction structures (made of wood or classical construction materials). The comparative analysis of the thermic insulation capacity starts from the cognition of the physical properties of wood, which transfers its properties to the new product, bringing it in a favourable situation to be launched on sale on the construction market. Beside the thermic behaviour, some physical and mechanical properties of the new product were also tested, in order to appreciate the possiblity of its utilization as building material.

Key word: wood-based composite materials, construction materials, thermic insulation capacity, mechanical properties.
