This second volume of the book entitled “Technological Design in Wood Industry” refers to solid wood elements and it proposes their classification as function of their shape, starting with simple (rectangular) elements and ending with spatial elements provided with carvings or different profiles (torsades, flutes).
The authors aimed to associate to each presented element a certain fabrication technology. This is represented as an operation sheet, partially filled in, the user being solicited to work directly on it and to perform eventual completions or eliminations of certain operations, according to the technical endowment and the processing tradition in the particular case of each company.
The book is also available in electronic (CD) form.

The book is one of the lectures sustained within the Doctoral School at the "Transilvania"University of Brasov and it comprises three modules as follows:
- Module I: “Management of University Scientific Research”, conceived by prof.dr.eng. Ioan Matlac, which presents the objectives of university scientific research and the correlation between the scientific and didactic activity;
- Module II: “Information and Communication Management in Scientific Research”, conceived by prof.dr.eng. Angela Repanovici, director of Library of the "Transilvania"University, which presents the impact of new informational technologies upon the information-documentation activity for scientific research and evidentiates the role of an university library as an integrant part of the education process;
- Module III: “Information Management”, conceived by prof.dr.eng. Niculaie Antonoaie, which presents concepts related to the company’s information system and examples of using information withim the management process.
