Abstract:
One of the novelties presented in 2005 at the BIFE TIMB Bucharest was “ThermoWood”, respectively wood treated at very high temperatures with improved properties than those of the wood dried by classical methods. The paper presents the treatment technology, the properties of wood treated in this manner and its potential fields of utilization and capitalization.
